The Leadership League kids have named this upcoming Tuesday “Holiday Hoopla”.  They would LOVE for staff to get into the spirit by wearing fun (aka tacky) sweaters and any accessories you might have.

We are asking kids to wear their most festive items too.

Welcome Miss T.!

I’m very excited to inform you that starting in the new year we will have a student teacher in our classroom for 12 weeks.  Tina Tramontano comes to us from Greenwich, Connecticut and is currently enrolled in the graduate program at Sacred Heart University.  She is working towards her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education, as well as, Connecticut Teaching Certification.  Miss T. is also the intern in our building and has been an active substitute teacher since September. The kids all know her very well and are so happy she will get to spend some more time with us in 2015!  Please join me in welcoming Miss T. to our first grade classroom!

Hour of Code

The hour of code will be happening nation wide from December 8th-14th.  It's a wonderful opportunity to begin to expose our children to the world of computer science.

The computer lab was not working today so we were unable to participate in the national hour of code.  We did watch a few videos explaining and I told the students if they would like to try the activities at home I would post the link here.  See the link below.
