Math
In Math, we are practicing different ways to show our thinking when solving addition problems. Using the number line and ten frames is new to us and we are quickly using these as helpful tools.
Reader's Workshop
In Reader's Workshop, we started discussing and learning about good habits for solving hard words. These are some great visuals that help us when solving tricky words. Bookmarks to come!

Fundations
In Fundations, we have been reviewing the letter names, letter picture, and sounds from Kindergarten. We have also spent a lot of time working on our "open mouth" vowel sounds. Ask us to show you how we read them!
Handwriting
In Handwriting, we have been reviewing the correct formation of capital letters that we learned about in Kindergarten. Next up, lowercase letters!
Reader's Workhop
In Reader's Workshop we started bringing home our book pouches and reading notebooks to log books we read at home and at school. We made reading goals for the school year and began talking about how readers build good habits.
Writer's Workhop
In Writer's Workshop, we started planning and drafting our small moment stories from Unit 1: Narrative Writing. These are some helpful resources for us to remember when writing.
